MENATEL payphones are managed with on-line management systems currently used by France Telecom in its other payphone markets:

-France : 240,000 smart card payphones in service and 110 million cards sold in 1997.
-Mexico : 180,000 smart card payphones in service and 100 million cards sold in 1997.

MENATEL payphones are designed to facilitate and simplify making a call. The on-line management system used by MENATEL permits continuous monitoring of all payphones, and fast problem solving that guarantees a high standard of service.
